960 Series Alarm Tone Interface
Bridging The Gap In Radio Communications

The 960ATI provides an easy solution for generating a warning tone across a radio network. It allows the operator to alert other users that a hazardous situation is imminent.

Separate 6-way ports allow the unit to connect between any 960 Series peripheral and it's present interface , allowing easy integration into an existing system. No external supply is required as the unit derives it's power via the interface.

Alarm tone output is achieved by a single switch operation, with an LED indicator illuminating in the active state. Another LED is provided to monitor the status of the PTT line. The operation of the unit will be inhibited if there is either a PTT from the peripheral or a busy signal from the interface.

The duration and repetition rate of the alarm tone is factory adjustable, with times of 100 to 900ms and 1 to 10 seconds respectively. A removable link is also included, which allows for the tone to be monitored at the peripheral.

The unit is normally shipped with a tone frequency of 1750Hz (other frequencies are available from the factory on request) in a small "Jiffy box" enclosure. As an option, it can be fitted into the extrusion of 960 Series peripherals, with only an external switch required to enable the unit.
